Match your bank card to a size.
No quiz and no tape. Drag until the box matches a bank card held against your screen, and every waist below is drawn to scale. Then put the card against the bar that matches it. Each figure is a waist a supplier published for a real garment — nothing here is estimated or fitted.
Step one · calibrate
Hold any bank card against the screen and drag until the box matches it. That fixes this page to your screen’s scale, so the card below is drawn at real size and you can see the calibration is honest.
1.89 px per mm · card drawn at true size
Calibrating is worth doing even though the bars may not fit life-size: it proves this page and your screen agree on what a centimetre is, which is the whole argument of this shop.
Your waist
64cm
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, over nothing thick, and keep the tape level. That is the one number this needs.
Step two · compare
Each bar is a waist a supplier published for a real garment, in proportion to the others. A garment waist is 620 mm, so no screen can show it life-size — these are drawn at 53% and kept in proportion. Use the numbers.
- S46 pc54 cm · 21.3 in
- M38 pc58 cm · 22.8 in
- L30 pc62 cm · 24.4 in
- XL3 pc74 cm · 29.1 in
Every figure above is a waist published by a supplier for a garment in this catalogue. None of it is estimated, averaged or fitted.
At 64cm waist
L62 cm · 24.4 in
2 cm smaller than you. It will sit close.

Four numbers, and where they go.
- Bust
- Around the fullest part, across the front and under the arms. Keep the tape level all the way round — it is the number most often measured too tight.
- Waist
- Around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the navel. This is the number the ladder above is built on, because it is the one a tape gives back most reliably of the four.
- Hip
- Around the fullest part of your seat, roughly 20cm below the natural waist.
- Length
- On a garment this is measured on the garment, not on you, so it tells you how long it is rather than how it fits.
Garment or body
Some suppliers measure the garment laid flat, some measure a body. We print which one on every chart, and we do not guess when they do not say.
Between two sizes
Take the larger one for knitwear and anything with stretch. The measurement chart on each product is the authority, not a rule of thumb.
Still not sure
Returns are free and unasked. How returns work.
If you would rather not measure
45 one-size pieces
These 45 pieces are cut to one size and publish their own measurements anyway, so you can still check them against a tape. They are also the easiest thing to give as a gift.
