The hero frames on this site come from a small studio set: a plaster-grey wall (#E6DED4 if you're painting along), hard single-source light, and garments photographed flat so the knit, weave and drape read honestly at thumbnail size.
Where a machine helps
Some scene backgrounds around product shots are AI-generated — the garment itself is always photographed as it ships, and where generation was involved we label it. It lets a small operation produce editorial-looking sets without a production budget. The clothes are the clothes; the walls are the part that's synthetic.
Why flat shots
On-model photography flatters everything equally, which is the problem. Flat lays show seam placement, rib density, and how a hem actually falls. Less romance, fewer surprises at your door.
